About Me

Hi, I’m Farzad Shahab Lavasani, an Iranian filmmaker & film researcher based in Paris.

I started learning about the art of filmmaking early on when I chose to study film in an art high school and was instantly mesmerized by this art form. I started studying film then and it gave a substantial head-start in my career to work on some of my professor’s and senior student’s films and polish my knowledge as an artist.

I resumed studying Film Directing for my bachelor’s degree and with my already formed knowledge and experience, I immediately started working in the film industry, experiencing different forms of film and television narratives and trying to make artworks myself. This road has led me to numerous work experiences in different roles and made me appreciate and learn many aspects of this craft.

Now that I have moved to Paris to study my Masters of Art in Film, I strive to concentrate more on myself as a filmmaker and video artist.
